FAQ

Answers to common questions about Zorynvale Digital apps: how your data is kept private, backups, pricing, purchases, and refunds. Search below, or browse by section.

General

Do I need an account?

No. Zorynvale apps have no sign-up and no login. You can start using them right away, and your data stays on your device.

Where is my data stored, and is it private?

By default, everything you enter stays on your device, in the app's private storage. Our apps have no accounts, no cloud, and no servers, and they do not include advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking. Your data is never uploaded to us or anyone else. Each app has its own privacy policy, for example the Mimir privacy policy.

I got a new phone or reset my device. Is my data still there?

Your data lives on the device where you entered it, and it does not sync automatically. If you did not export a backup, resetting or replacing the device means the data is gone. To keep it, create a backup first (see the next question).

How do I move my data to a new device?

In the app's Settings, export a backup. You can protect it with a passphrase that only you know. Transfer that backup file to your new device, install the app, and use the restore option to import it.

I forgot my backup passphrase.

Encrypted backups are protected with a passphrase that only you know. It is not stored anywhere and is never sent to us, so a backup cannot be opened without it and we cannot recover it. Keep your passphrase somewhere safe. If you can still open the app, you can create a new backup with a new passphrase.

How much do paid features cost, and why does the price change by store or country?

Our paid features are one-time purchases, not subscriptions, and there are no ads. Prices start from a base of 1.99 CAD, and the two app stores handle regional pricing differently:

  • Google Play (Android): Google converts the 1.99 CAD base price into your local currency based on your country, so the amount varies by region. For example, 1.99 CAD is roughly 1.42 USD.
  • Apple App Store (iPhone and iPad): Apple does not convert. It uses fixed price points, so the price is standardized at 1.99 in each currency. That means 1.99 CAD, 1.99 USD, and 1.99 EUR. The number stays 1.99, and it is charged in your local currency.

The exact amount is always shown in the app and at checkout before you confirm.

How do I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by the app store you purchased through, not by Zorynvale. The steps below are current as of July 2026.

Apple App Store (iPhone and iPad):

  1. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple Account.
  2. Choose "I'd like to", then choose "Request a refund".
  3. Choose the reason for the refund, then choose Next.
  4. Choose the item, then choose Submit.

Apple usually updates you within 24 to 48 hours. You can check the status at reportaproblem.apple.com under "Check Status of Claims". On Apple, only Apple can issue the refund; Zorynvale cannot.

Google Play (Android):

  1. Go to play.google.com and sign in.
  2. Click your profile picture, then choose "Payments & subscriptions", then "Budget & order history".
  3. Find the purchase and click "Report a problem".
  4. Choose the option that matches your situation, complete the form, and submit.

Within 48 hours of purchase you can request the refund directly through Google Play. You will usually get a decision within a day, and up to four days. If it has been more than 48 hours, email us at support@zorynvale.com with your order number and we can look into a refund through the Play Console.

Why can't Zorynvale look up my purchase or resend a purchased item?

Our apps have no accounts and no servers. Your entries, your purchase records, and anything you generate live only on your device. We never receive them, so there is nothing for us to look up or resend. This is the same privacy design that keeps your data on your device and out of our hands. Purchased items stay on your device, and refunds are handled through the app store.

Mimir

What is Mimir?

Mimir is a private, offline-first mental health tracker. You do quick daily check-ins for things like mood, sleep, symptoms, and medications, and Mimir keeps the history for you. When it is time to see your doctor, it can turn that history into a clear, appointment-ready PDF report.

Is Mimir a medical device? Can it diagnose me?

No. Mimir is a personal wellbeing and tracking tool. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition, and it is not a substitute for professional care. It is also not an emergency service and cannot contact help for you. If you are in crisis or may be in danger, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line right away.

What is the Doctor Report? Is Mimir free?

Mimir itself is free. The one paid feature is the Doctor Report, an optional PDF summary of your tracked history that you can bring to an appointment. You only pay if you choose to generate one. A free, watermarked sample preview lets you see what a report looks like before you buy.

I paid but did not get my Doctor Report.

First, open Mimir again and generate the report one more time. A purchase is only finalized after the PDF is successfully created, so an attempt that was interrupted (for example, the app closed or lost connection) is not used up, and the store lets you complete it without charging you again.

Any report you have already generated is kept on your device under Saved Reports, where you can open, print, or share it again at no extra cost. If a report still will not generate, or you were charged and cannot produce one, you can request a refund from the store you bought it through. See How do I get a refund? in the General section.

I forgot my Mimir app lock PIN.

Your PIN is stored only on your device as a secure, one-way hash. It is never sent to us, so Zorynvale cannot see, recover, or reset it. Recovery happens on your device, in one of two ways:

  • If biometric unlock is turned on: on the lock screen, tap "Forgot PIN?", unlock with your fingerprint or face, and choose a new PIN. Your data is kept.
  • If biometrics isn't set up: the PIN itself can't be recovered. After several failed attempts, the lock screen offers an "Erase & reset" option that deletes everything stored on the device and lets you start over, with no need to reinstall. Keep an encrypted backup so you can restore your data afterward.
My reminders are not appearing.

Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. If they are not showing, check that notifications are allowed for Mimir in your device's system settings, and that your reminder times are set in the app. On some phones, battery saver or focus modes can delay notifications.

Face ID or fingerprint unlock is not working.

Biometric unlock uses your device's own Face ID, Touch ID, or fingerprint. Make sure biometrics are set up in your device settings and that you enabled biometric unlock in Mimir's app lock settings. You can always enter your PIN instead.

There is no biometric option in Mimir's app lock settings.

Mimir only offers biometric unlock when your device already has Face ID, Touch ID, or a fingerprint set up. If the biometric toggle is missing from the app lock settings, and you were not prompted to turn on biometric unlock after creating your PIN, it means your device does not currently have biometrics Mimir can use.

To turn it on, set up biometrics at the device level first, provided your device supports it:

  • iPhone or iPad: open the system Settings app, go to Face ID & Passcode or Touch ID & Passcode, and add your face or a fingerprint. Some iPad models do not have Face ID or Touch ID, in which case biometric unlock is not available.
  • Android: set up fingerprint or face unlock in your device's security settings.

Once biometrics is set up on the device, reopen Mimir's app lock settings and the biometric unlock toggle will appear. Turning it on lets you unlock with biometrics and use them to reset a forgotten PIN. You can always use your PIN instead.

The crisis line for my country is not listed.

Mimir includes verified national crisis lines for Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Germany, France, the Netherlands, and Spain. For every other location, an International option opens the Find a Helpline directory, which covers many more countries. Mimir selects your region automatically, and you can also browse regions in Settings. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency number right away.

Does Mimir have home screen widgets?

On Android, Mimir offers home screen widgets for your care tasks and your trends chart. Widgets are an Android feature, so they are not available on iPhone or iPad.
